Coffin Dodgers (PS4)

Hello and welcome to my review of Coffin Dodgers on PlayStation 4.

So this game is developed by an Indie company called Milky Tea Studios and is basically a Racing game.

Okay, so what is Coffin Dodgers?…

Welcome to a suburban retirement village where all is not as it seems…
After settling down to recover from the responsibilities of working life, the residents of Sunny Pines have been idling away the days, life could not be more tranquil. However, a creepy new resident, Mr Grim Reaper, looks set to turn retirement on its head… After years trawling the earth for souls to harvest, Mr Grim Reaper concludes Sunny Pines is where he’ll lay his hat; here he can harvest souls from the comfort of his rocking chair. However, seven of the sprightliest OAPs (old age pensioners) have other ideas and set out to prove that life for Grim at Sunny Pines definitely won’t be like shooting fish in a barrel.

So when I read this description on the game I was like this sounds like fun so I looked Into it more with up to 4 player local multiplayer and a story mode to rock your socks as well as a Crazy Grandad mode where you have to grab the items before the time runs out.

There are 7 Characters to choose from in this game and you also get to upgrade your mobility scooter as well with engine upgrades to the paint it has.

With all this said you think It would be a good game, however I can’t sugar coat this game It’s not very good the controllers are to sensitive and you can turn the scooter to fast or crash into walls and other racers which makes you fall off with this being said it makes the game a lot harder and I’ve played it for 30 mins and made me want to slam my head into the wall.

I will give credit for the complex of the game customization of the scooters and game modes are all right it’s just the controls that are too bulky which is a shame as it could have been a good game otherwise.

However, If you want a fun racing game seeing OAP’s fight each other with there walking sticks and fire missiles at each other for £3.29 on the PlayStation Store at the moment is not a bad price to pay.

So with this being said, I’m going to give this game a 2/5 Stars, sorry Milky Tea Studios before making another racing game please get the controls right to make this game a worthwhile.
