Microtransactions – Has it really Become a thing?

Hey Boys and Girls and today I’m going to talk about Microtransactions

So I’ve been playing GTA Online and I knew it was always there I just never considered buying it but what is it with Microtransactions with games now days every game released has a version of them in their own way, in my eyes I think it is killing the gaming industry a little it should never be a pay to win it should be an earn to win thing with games we already pay enough as it is for the games

Now don’t get me wrong I’m not saying I’ve never done microtransactions I have done the sucker for me was FIFA Ultimate Team I use to spend £20 a month on packs which were annoying cause for one you never got anyone but also it was a waste of money and gave you that feeling of buying more till your satisfied or out of money.

For example, Rockstar has not released a game since GTA and I would say it’s cause they earn so much of Microtransactions they don’t need to do any other games I’m just like that RDR2 will be out this year.

Top 5 Games that made money on Microtransactions in 2017 this is other all platforms

1. Fifa 17 2. Grand Theft Auto 3. Battlefield 1 4. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare 5. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands

It may be me being an oldie but I think games should be games they should be complete on release and shouldn’t have extra’s to buy for them, in some cases yea it’s okay but mostly it’s just a cash cow for companies to make fewer games and more money.

But what do you think?

Let me know in the comments….

  1. I’m definitely not a microtransaction fan either. I prefer to pay for a game once, though occasionally there has been DLC that I enjoyed. The big thing for me is that extra paid content should be supplemental to the game, not integral to it. I’ve played at least one where the DLC was necessary for the story to be comprehensible, and that irked me.
