Fallout 76!!

Has Bethesda just dropped a Mini Nuke on the world?

Are we now being told to Please Stand By?

Bandicoot Please Stand By?

That’s why Warriors! Bethesda has just dropped the biggest announcement right before E3.

Fallout 76!

To be honest I’m glad this has been announced instead of another Elder Scrolls game and this should blow every other game out of the park even including RAGE 2 (Don’t see why they have done another one but still) This game is going to be amazing.

So it all began on 29th May with this 5-second video with no sound saying Please Stand By. This grew the Hype it needed within a few hours being posted and got everyone talking around the world like the nukes were dropped.

And then a day after they released the Teaser Trailer for their new and upcoming game Fallout 76!

Since then this game has been the highlight of my week and the only game I’m looking forward to coming out this year or even maybe next year.

But what do we know about Fallout 76?

Background

Vault 76 is one of seventeen known “control” vaults, meaning that it was used as a baseline to compare to experimental vaults.

Vault 76 housed 500 occupants and was programmed to open to the wasteland outside 20 years after a nuclear war.

According to the Vault-Tec Terminal in the Citadel, Vault 76 is located somewhere near Washington D.C., likely in the outskirts or outlying areas as it does not show up on the Capital Wasteland map.

Construction of Vault 76 began in 2065 and ended in 2069 and then debuted seven years later in 2076, in honour of the United States’s tercentenary when discussing Vault-Tec’s plans to expand. The Vault is scheduled to reopen in 2097, twenty years after the events of the Great War.

So from reading this, I would say that this is going to be an interesting quest line maybe your the person being controlled or the controller within this Vault and having 500 Occupants in the Vault is quite a lot Compared to Fallout 3’s Vault 101 with 48 Inhabitants.

Online RPG?

Now there’s been lots of rumours about the new release being an Online RPG Kotaku’s article on the subject does into detail about the rumours and for now, I would say they are just rumours, Fallout franchise has always been Single Player games which makes them that great but if the game is an Online RPG then great I’m not going to cry like some of the other Fallout fans out there I will try the game, heck I’ll even play it with friends you never know it could be amazing playing Online running round the wasteland with friends.

Video Breakdown

Okay, so from the Teaser Trailer you can see that Bethesda has left us some clues within the trailer to keep us guessing and thinking what Fallout 76 really is.

So I’m going to go through some points I noticed when watching the trailer for the 100th Time.

Release Date?

Bandicoot Warrior Fallout 76 Release Date

So as the trailer begins you hear the Pipboy radio turn on and it started to sound like The Ink Spots? (Or is that just me) before kicking into Country Roads but what I’m showing here is the Date on the Pipboy are we looking at an October release for this game? Or has this been looked into too much detail?

Is The Vault Open Already?

Bandicoot Warrior Fallout 76 Vault Open

After seeing the Pipboy the Camera pans out and shows you the room of the person I assume you’ll be playing and all the contents inside but looking at the picture above there are some items on the bed an old scrappy rucksack and hat maybe the Vault is already open when we start the game or maybe this is a shot of the room throughout the game who knows….Bethesda does.

300 Year Anniversary or Vault Tech

Bandicoot Warrior Fallout 76 300 Years

Not sure if this means anything at the moment but it’s got to be something big or that Vault 76 opened on there 300 year Anniversary.

Colour Television

Bandicoot Warrior Fallout 76 Colour TV

In all my Fallout experience and playing, I never saw a Colour Tv within the games with this being a prologue to Fallout 3, 4 and New Vegas may be the Technology for colour Tv died out with the Great War advancing and 200 years later there is nothing to create them like there was but who knows.

Reward or Achievement System?

Bandicoot Warrior Reward System

This could be nothing but maybe this is a Reward or Achievement system within the game and your accomplishments will be on view at the Vault for everyone to see.

Is this the Hint to Online Play or the Party within the Vault?

Bandicoot Warrior Fallout 76 Online Play

Everyone online says it’s a hint to Fallout 76 being an online game it could be but I personally don’t think it is I think it’s an invite to the party they’re having in the Vault and Us the viewers are invited, plus Vault boy has a party hat on. However, it could be to throw us off the scent of online play.

Reclamation Day

Bandicoot Warrior Fallout 76 Reclamation Day

Not sure what this is yet but maybe it’s a day they celebrate that they have reclaimed the Wasteland for themselves.

And that’s all I’ve got to say on the video breakdown but if there’s anything I’ve missed or you’ve seen let me know in the comments.

What to Expect at E3?

So what can we Expect at E3? well I think we will see another trailer of the game maybe some gameplay of the game being played just like Fallout 4 was, and hopefully a release date and what editions of the game will be released as we know Fallout will do a deluxe edition just like the Fallout 3 Lunchbox Edition and Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition.

So what do you think of Fallout 76? Let me know in the Comments!!

  1. I am intrigued about Fallout 76. From the rumours I’ve heard, it seems to be more of a survival game. I know its definitely one I’ll be waiting to hear more at the Bethesda conference, at E3!

      1. I’ve mixed feelings on it. If the multiplayer is implemented well, then I think its an interesting direction for the series, as long as they stick with the main games remaining as single player. Personally, if they did it right, I would be interested in a Fallout MMO.

      2. Yeah me too, me and a few friends have said it would be amazing if it was like Left 4 Dead style online so only 4 players in one game roaming around the Wasteland after Death-claws.
ESO was good and I play that still but if Fallout 76 is online it needs to be better than that :p

      3. I think you’re right, the game would work better as a small multiplayer game rather than an MMO. I don’t think ESO’s mechanics would work for a Fallout game. But maybe Bethesda is trolling everyone and it will turn out that Fallout 76 is actually a card game… 😛
