TBT – Star Wars Republic Commando

What’s Up Warriors and today I’m going back to 2005 for this Throwback of Lucasarts Star Wars Republic Commando.

Now with this game, I didn’t play it till I had my Xbox 360 but this was originally out in 2005 on the Classic Xbox, however with it becoming free with Games with Gold I thought I’d jump back in and give it another go.

Plot?

The game is set during the events of the that started at the climax of the movie Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. In the game, the player takes command of a Clone commando team, made up of elite Clone troopers. These Clone commandos have been specially bred at the clone factories on Kamino.

The game features some gameplay elements that resemble features in other first-person shooters like Halo and Soldier of Fortune, and in the single-player mode, the player and squadmates do not die when they run out of health, but rather are incapacitated.

The campaign for this game is a little on the short side but it packs action and adventure as well as a good story just not enough Jedi’s.

Plus it was a shame the sequel was cancelled and only made concept art but hopefully, they will make a Star Wars game for the Next Gen’s that isn’t Battlefront.

Out of Five?

So I’m giving this 3/5 Stars a classic Star Wars game that would be awesome as a remaster.

What did you think of Republic Commando?
