Real Neat Blogger Nomination from Red Metal!

What’s up Warriors and today I’m answering the questions that have been asked in this Real Neat Blogger Award!

So on 31st August Bandicoot Warrior and among others were nominated for this award by Red Metal over at Extra Life Reviews! So a massive thank you for that! it means a lot to know that our content gets seen and read and the hard work is paid off.

Here are the questions!

  1. Have you ever watched a film in theatres that featured an intermission?
  2. What is the most expensive ticket you’ve ever purchased?
  3. If you had to trade in the fluency of your first language for another, which one would you choose?
  4. If you could appear on any game show (including ones that have ended), which one would you choose?
  5. As someone who has watched many classics over the past few years, I’ve concluded that old films are overall better than recent efforts. What do you think the current generation of filmmakers lacks that allowed their predecessors to shine?
  6. How do you like your eggs prepared?
  7. How do you like your potatoes prepared?
  8. If you found yourself directing films, which genre would you want to specialize in?
  9. What is your favourite band/artist with a limited discography (i.e. no more than four studio albums)?
  10. There are many stories over the years of projects or ideas never getting off the ground or being cancelled mid-production. Which one would you bring into reality if you could?
  11. What series do you feel managed to be consistently good for an extended period of time?

So let’s not wait around let’s get on with the questions!

Question One – Have you ever watched a film in theatres that featured an intermission?

You know what I have not out of all the films I have been to see there hasn’t been an intermission in any of them, not even Endgame!

Question Two – What is the most expensive ticket you’ve ever purchased?

That’s an easy one for me got to be Download Festival 2015 at a mere £210

Question Three – If you had to trade in the fluency of your first language for another, which one would you choose?

Okay so if I had to I would trade it for French as I think it would be the easier one to pick up and learn.

Question Four – If you could appear on any game show (including ones that have ended), which one would you choose?

You know what I’m quite shy but it would have to be Deal or No Deal! just to confront Noel about the Banker being Mr Blobby!

Question Five – As someone who has watched many classics over the past few years, I’ve concluded that old films are overall better than recent efforts. What do you think the current generation of filmmakers lacks that allowed their predecessors to shine?

That’s an easy one really the Filmmakers just like to Copy and Paste things out of the past and bring it back in to present-day I know things make a full circle like fashion and what not but the problem is people see they have copied ideas and it’s like yeah that’s crap. For example Skyscraper with The Rock in it is basically Die Hard!

Question Six – How do you like your eggs prepared?

Scrambled every time.

Question Seven – How do you like your potatoes prepared?

Anyway really Boiled, Jacket or mashed.

Question Eight – If you found yourself directing films, which genre would you want to specialize in?

That would be Sci-Fi or Action as Robocop is my all-time favourite film and since they rebooted it, it made me love the original even more.

Question Nine – What is your favourite band/artist with a limited discography (i.e. no more than four studio albums)?

Okay this one is a hard one as most of the bands I like have done more than four albums but I have a few artists so here goes:

  1. Ben Howard – 3 Albums
  2. Lewis Capaldi – 1 Album
  3. City and Colour – 4 Albums
  4. Noel Gallaher’s High Flying Birds – 3 Albums
  5. Jack White – 3 Albums

Okay that was really difficult to think of artists with a limited discography

Question Ten – There are many stories over the years of projects or ideas never getting off the ground or being cancelled mid-production. Which one would you bring into reality if you could?

I think it’s still in production but keeps changing hands but I would say Dead Island 2 it’s been too long since we had that awesome trailer for it and to hear nothing from it.

Question Eleven – What series do you feel managed to be consistently good for an extended period of time?

For me, it’s got to be Fallout it’s still my go-to game and it’s a shame Fallout 76 didn’t go to plan for them even though now it’s turning out pretty good.

Well, that’s the Questions so once again thanks to Red Metal at Extra Life Reviews! for Nominating me it’s been fun!

Now it’s time for Nominating people! I will Nominate three Bloggers and they can answer the same questions as me with an extra question which is:

One game that you are excited about which could be released within the next 2 years?

So I’m Nominating:

  1. Later Levels! – I always nominate Kim for these things when I get nominated because when I started Blogging Later Levels was always the one their reading and liking my posts from day one so got to repay them some way.
  2. Renard’s World – This guy always likes my posts no matter what I talk about and as a token of gesture I would like to nominate you for this award.
  3. That Green Dude – Brandon is the same as Kim from Later Levels and has always been there reading my posts and liking them from day one so got to give credit to him as well.

  1. Yeah, I was expecting Endgame to have an intermission, but it didn’t. As it stands, I’ve only watched films with intermissions at home, which don’t count.

To be honest, I can’t remember a particularly expensive ticket I’ve purchased.

French, huh? I can certainly imagine that would be handy for cinephiles.

Remember that when playing Deal or No Deal that the deals you reject are gone. A lot of people don’t realize this and end up squandering money foolishly trying to recover the previous offers.

Yup, that is an answer I would go with as well. Modern-day auteurs lack any kind of ambition, are a tethered to what the critics want at a given time. I’ve heard a lot of people throw the “no new ideas under the sun” line, but that just seems like an excuse for their complacency. All I can say is that I don’t think it’s a coincidence that my two favorite films from this decade, Mad Max: Fury Road and The Grand Budapest Hotel, were made by directors who had firmly established themselves in the 1990s or earlier.

I think I prefer them fried or boiled myself.

I like French fries, though mashed and scalloped potatoes are great as well.

I kind of see myself as someone who would want to blend genres together a la Blade Runner. I definitely think we could use some good sci-fi directors because this decade has been a dark age for the genre.

I think I would go for Joy Division, though Nirvana, the Sex Pistols, and N.W.A. are great as well. So are The White Stripes.

I kind of wish developers would only release trailers when the game is at least two-thirds of the way done (ideally when the foundation is established and they’re attempting to work out the kinks).

I’ve had a weird relationship with the Fallout series. I really liked 3 and wanted to check out the original two immediately afterwards. After that, I just kind of lost interest. Maybe, I’ll come back to the series in the future.
