Midnight Divide – Inherent Vice

What’s up Warriors and today I’m going to be looking at a new band I got through an email to listen to called Midnight Divide.

So a little background info, Midnight Divide frontman Austen Moret has been obsessed with songwriting since the days his two-year-old self was smashing the keys of a Casio keyboard or his grandmother’s piano. Weird right? He has… layers.

After brief stints in indie/alternative bands, Moret finally decided the only path forward was to forge his own. Thus, via the depths of Craigslist musician ads, Midnight Divide was born.

With Jace McPartland on bass, Dan Beltran on lead guitar and Bryan King on drums, the Los Angeles based band delivers cinematic alt-rock with a magnetically fierce sound that’s been electrifying audiences across the nation.

My Thoughts on the Song

So with listening to the song, I could see the song featuring wistful soundscapes, passionate vocals with driving basslines throughout the song and it was a nice sound to listen to while relaxing and something a little different within the Indie/Rock scene.

I believe  ‘Inherent Vice’ electrifies us with innovation as well as creativity.

Out of Five?

This song is a good addition to the music that’s being released today and reminds me of a few bands that are already out there but not to take the light shining from these guys as this song is one you have to listen to. It’s shape and punchy with the bass and vocals and relaxing at the same time.

I’m giving this a 3/5 Stars!
